Minneapolis, MN<\/strong> \u2013 SitelogIQ (SIQ)<\/a> continues to strengthen its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices by hosting two employee education events focused on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) during the month of October.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

One event featured guest speaker Karl Singleton, Chief Equity and Compliance Officer for the City of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, home to one of SIQ\u2019s regional offices. Singleton shared his background and work with the City of Harrisburg & PA Diversity Coalition, as well as advice for developing and implementing a strong DE&I program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Lieutenant General Gwen Bingham, U.S. Army (Ret.), and SIQ Board member was the guest speaker for its second event, which was hosted for members of SIQ\u2019s DE&I affinity group programs \u2013 Veterans and Allies Leadership Organization (VALOR) and Women Inspiring & Strengthening Everyone (WISE).  During her time, she shared inspiring stories of diversity in leadership positions, mentorship advice, and her top 10 (plus 4) life lessons. Bingham was named the 2021 CNN Champion for Change and is also the co-chair of Blue Star Families\u2019 Racial Equity and Inclusion Committee \/ Campaign for Inclusion.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\u201cWe have a responsibility to lead the charge for ESG and are committed to stewarding strong action,\u201d said Joe Puishys, SIQ Chairman and CEO. \u201cPart of that includes providing our employees with the knowledge and resources to implement these commitments into our day-to-day practices and interactions.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

DE&I is a key focus area within SIQ\u2019s ESG plan, as the company commits to representing and reflecting the unique experience and perspectives of its people, partners, and communities it serves. SIQ has created two affinity groups to support these efforts: VALOR, which embraces SIQ\u2019s proud community of employee veterans and allies with support through shared experiences, recruitment, education, and outward engagement; and WISE, which provides a support system to women (and those who support them) to network, overcome barriers and ensure SIQ celebrates successes together.
