Continuing on with our ‘radical’ series, I decided to give you some more information about \u8349\u5b57\u5934<\/a> (c\u01ceo z\u00ec t\u00f3u), the grass radical. \u8349\u5b57\u5934 (c\u01ceo z\u00ec t\u00f3u) means ‘grass on the head’ and is always found on the top of a character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I really like \u8279 because unlike some radicals, most of the characters featuring this radical ALL have something to do with plants and flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are very few characters that include \u8279 where you have to stretch your imagination, and wonder “why do they use this radical?”. I also think it’s a good visual representation of grass, with 2 sprouts sticking up from the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
