Welcome to the first Scavenger Sunday episode of 2015! Allen, did you make any resolutions?<br \/>\nA: Yeah, I want to stop biting my nails bite nails, I want to drink less drinks wine with a straw and quit smoking.<br \/>\nN: Looks like that\u2019s going well&#8230;<br \/>\nA: In Chinese we sometimes say \u4e00\u5200\u4e24\u65ad (y\u012b d\u0101o li\u01ceng du\u00e0n) which means \u2018clean break\u2019 just like making a resolution. The literal translation is to use one knife (\u4e00\u5200) to cut 2 parts (\u4e24\u65ad).<br \/>\nN:Lets talk about this week\u2019s character: \u5e74<br \/>\nA: As you probably know by now, \u5e74 means year. For example,  \u4eca\u5e74\u6211\u60f3\u53bb\u6b27\u6d32\u6d41\u884c\u3002 Which means &#8216;This year I want to go to Europe to travel.&#8217;<br \/>\nN:Hmm, and I can say: \u4eca\u5e74\u6211\u5e0c\u671b\u5b66\u4e60\u5f88\u591a\u6c49\u5b57\uff01<br \/>\nA: Wow, really?<br \/>\nN: Yup.
