Declarative sentences end, similarly to English with an &nbsp;\u201c\u3002\u201d. This sentence type can sometimes end with a modal particle such as \u7684\u3001\u4e86\u3001\u5462\u3001\u561b\u3001\u7f62\u4e86\u3001\u554a, etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E4%BB%96%E5%B7%B2%E7%BB%8F%E5%9B%9E%E5%AE%B6%E4%BA%86%E3%80%82&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u4ed6\u5df2\u7ecf\u56de\u5bb6\u4e86<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E4%BB%96%E5%B7%B2%E7%BB%8F%E5%9B%9E%E5%AE%B6%E4%BA%86%E3%80%82&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u3002<\/a>&nbsp;(t\u0101 y\u01d0&nbsp;j\u012bng hu\u00ed&nbsp;ji\u0101 le.)&nbsp;= He has already gone home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E4%BB%96%E8%AF%B4%E4%BA%86%E4%BC%9A%E5%8E%BB%E7%9A%84%E3%80%82&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u4ed6\u8bf4\u4e86\u4f1a\u53bb\u7684\u3002<\/a>&nbsp;(t\u0101 shu\u014d le hu\u00ec&nbsp;q\u00f9&nbsp;de.) &nbsp;= He said he would go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the sentence indicates fact, there will be a positive or negative response. Interrogative sentences are usually questions that force a response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1) \u662f\u975e\u95ee\u53e5 (sh\u00ec&nbsp;f\u0113i w\u00e8n j\u00f9)&nbsp;yes-no sentence.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For <a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E6%98%AF%E9%9D%9E%E9%97%AE%E5%8F%A5&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u662f\u975e\u95ee\u53e5<\/a>&nbsp;(sh\u00ec&nbsp;f\u0113i w\u00e8n j\u00f9) sentences, we can simply use an imperative tone or add a question particle, such as \u5417 or \u5427.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E4%BD%A0%E6%98%8E%E5%A4%A9%E5%9B%9E%E6%9D%A5%E5%90%97%EF%BC%9F&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u4f60\u660e\u5929\u56de\u6765\u5417\uff1f<\/a>&nbsp;(n\u01d0 m\u00edng&nbsp;ti\u0101n hu\u00ed&nbsp;lai ma?)&nbsp;= Will you come back tomorrow?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E8%BF%99%E4%BB%B6%E8%A1%A3%E6%9C%8D%E6%98%AF%E4%BD%A0%E7%9A%84%E5%90%A7%EF%BC%9F&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u8fd9\u4ef6\u8863\u670d\u662f\u4f60\u7684\u5427\uff1f<\/a>&nbsp;(zh\u00e8 ji\u00e0n y\u012b&nbsp;fu sh\u00ec n\u01d0&nbsp;de ba?)&nbsp;This is your clothing, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E4%BD%A0%E6%98%A8%E5%A4%A9%E8%BF%9F%E5%88%B0%E4%BA%86%EF%BC%9F&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u4f60\u6628\u5929\u8fdf\u5230\u4e86\uff1f<\/a>&nbsp;(n\u01d0 zu\u00f3&nbsp;ti\u0101n ch\u00ed&nbsp;d\u00e0o le?)&nbsp;= Were you late yesterday?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E6%98%8E%E5%A4%A9%E6%88%91%E4%BB%AC%E5%8E%BB%E7%9C%8B%E7%94%B5%E5%BD%B1%EF%BC%8C%E6%80%8E%E4%B9%88%E6%A0%B7%EF%BC%9F&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u660e\u5929\u6211\u4eec\u53bb\u770b\u7535\u5f71\uff0c\u600e\u4e48\u6837\uff1f<\/a>&nbsp;(m\u00edng&nbsp;ti\u0101n w\u01d2&nbsp;men q\u00f9 k\u00e0n di\u00e0n&nbsp;y\u01d0ng, z\u011bn&nbsp;me&nbsp;y\u00e0ng?)&nbsp;= Shall we go and see a film tomorrow?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To answer this kind of question, you can use \u5bf9, \u662f\u7684, \u55ef, \u597d\u7684, etc &nbsp;to agree, or &nbsp;\u4e0d, \u6ca1\u6709, etc if you disagree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2)&nbsp;\u7279\u6307\u95ee\u53e5 (t\u00e8&nbsp;zh\u01d0 w\u00e8n j\u00f9)&nbsp;Specific interrogation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.writtenchinese.com\/#sk=%E7%89%B9%E6%8C%87%E9%97%AE%E5%8F%A5&amp;svt=pinyin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u7279\u6307\u95ee\u53e5<\/a>&nbsp;(t\u00e8&nbsp;zh\u01d0 w\u00e8n j\u00f9)&nbsp;includes an interrogative pronoun such as \u8c01 who, \u4ec0\u4e48 what, \u54ea\u513f where or \u600e\u4e48\u6837 how. The commonly used modal particles in the end of the sentence is \u5462 or \u554a.
