These words are very similar within the Chinese language, but often follow specific rules and patterns for them to make sense. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Below is the first half of our lesson on Chinese conjunctions that focuses mainly on \u2018and\u2019 \u2018or\u2019 and \u2018but\u2019 in Chinese, followed by \u2018because\u2019, \u2018so\u2019, and \u2018if\u2019 in the next half. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to different connecting components, Chinese conjunctions can be divided into two types:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Used to connect words and phrases:<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a They can also be used alone, or used with another conjunction or conjunctive adverb in a pair.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Single conjunction:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a
